DAO

What is a DAO?

A DAO, or Decentralized Autonomous Organization, is a community-led organization that operates transparently and democratically using blockchain technology. Unlike traditional organizations, DAOs are governed by smart contracts—self-executing code that enforces rules and decisions without the need for centralized control. Members participate by holding governance tokens, which grant them voting power to influence the organization’s direction. DAOs are used for a wide range of purposes, including managing decentralized platforms, pooling resources for investments, funding innovative projects, and fostering global collaboration around shared goals. Their decentralized nature ensures that decisions are made collectively, promoting inclusivity, transparency, and fairness while eliminating reliance on intermediaries. DAOs are reshaping how people organize and achieve common objectives in the digital age.
